THE SOLUTION
I moved beyond traditional 2D graphics to design a structural 3D form. The concept utilizes abstract strokes and curves in unison to form
the acronym NQA.
I produced precise technical drawings for fabrication, ensuring the transition from vector concept to physical glass and metal was flawless.
THE CHALLENGE
The Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) required a prestigious physical award to honor businesses meeting the highest tiers of National Quality Assurance. The trophy needed to embody stability, excellence, and the rigorous nature of the certification process.
A custom-fabricated award that now serves as the national symbol of corporate excellence, presented annually to the country’s top-performing industries.
PART I: SKETCHES

Ideation began with a focus on structural integrity and symbolism. The initial sketches explored how to balance the weight of the crystal base with the upward momentum of the metal 'NQA' acronym, ensuring the form was both elegant and manufacturable.
PART II: RENDERING

Translating the sketch into a 3D environment allowed for precise material study. I rendered the trophy with facets of optical crystal and polished gold plating to visualize how light would refract through the award, simulating the premium finish required for a national honor.
APPLICATION
From digital concept to physical reality. I produced detailed orthographic technical drawings for the fabricators, specifying exact angles and material thickness. The final result is a heavy-weight, museum-quality award that serves as the centerpiece for the annual GNBS ceremony.

I engineered the trophy with a low center of gravity to ensure stability on stage, while using vertical lines to draw the eye upward—a visual metaphor for raising industry standards.
